Half-Elves

Half-Elves are the children of an Elf and Human conception. In the early era of wizards, Humans and Elves as the most prominent magical species often united peacefully and sired children, but when war struck out Half-Elves were viewed with suspicion, seen as possible traitors for the enemy. Most nobles cast out such children from their homes. Many Half-Elves feel lost, without home or heritage to call their own. The Half-Elves would become best known for creating the Mage Hunters Guild, along with the Half-Orcs. Spurned by their forefathers some Half-Elves swore off Wizardry, and dedicated their life to ending mage tyranny,

Relations: During the mage war, Half-Elves are viewed with great suspicion by all races other than Ratfolk who treat them kindly. Half-Elves feel a sense of gratitude for the ratfolks kindness during this time. After the war, due in large part to the favorable view of the mage hunters guild, Half-Elves are viewed positively by Dwarves & Humans. Though can problematically be mistaken for actual elves.

Racial Ability Changes:

Half-Elves cannot take Alternate Racial Traits with the word Drow in them.
