Discitis (LN)The Grand Scribe
The god of Knowledge and Literacy. Dircitis is the guardian of all knowledge, it is said that his library holds every word ever written, and his followers believe that only in the recorded word can one achieve immortality. It is said that ZOL created and placed him in charge of the Library After the death of ZOL, mortals learned literacy and the Library grew exponentially. The growing archives needed to be kept organized and so Discitis quickly became the busiest of all gods and constantly working. He has never returned to the council of the gods. And he and his Library are hidden even from them. To stumble upon t's location is a rare treasure.
Dicitis is the Demigod of the now fallen Zol. As such followers of Dicitis are not part of any remaining major religion. They can always find refuge in churches of Polis, as Polis too was once a Demigod of Zol, and would see Dicitis followers as members of a sibling religion. Followers of Discitis place an emphasis on the value of texts, and knowledge. Academics, Wizards, and teachers are known to take part in this religion.
Relations:
Once a loyal follower of Zol, he now shuts himself off from the other gods. Only rarely passing messages through his brother Polis. He remains hidden in The Great Library.
Scripture:
Followers of Discitis believe all writings to be holy and worthy of preservation. They will go to great lengths to recover and restore lost writings. And take great care to Archive and organize any of their own writing and research to make it easier for Discitis to organize in the Library.
Heralds:
Followers of Discitis are proud that their god does not stoop to send talking animals or storms to berate his flock. They believe that if a message has to be passed, a simple note would suffice.
Curse/Blessings:
-Not one for grand gestures, the Grand Scribe conveys meaning through small acts. A flawless translation, or a peice spared from a flood can be signs of his blessing.
-Cramped hands, writers block, and ink-stains can be signs of his displeasure.
Additional Notes:
Discitis is far too busy in The Great Library to pay attention to the needs of mortals, as such he is not a valid Deity for the purposes of gaining divine spells for clerics or Paladins. As such his priests are often Wizards and Scholars

2: Memories from the Library: Once per day as a standard action, you can gain the effects of legend lore, save that the legends are recalled immediately and you gain the most complete level of knowledge (as if the person, place, or thing were at hand, regardless of its actual position). Your recollection of the legend takes the form of a memory of reading from a tomb in the Great Library, written by someone very familiar with the subject
3: Invert Magic: Your Mastery of arcane knowledge grants you the power to turn magic back on its source. You gain spell resistance equal to 11 + your Hit Dice; if you already have spell resistance as a result of a racial ability, it instead increases by 5. Whenever you would be affected by a spell, you can allow it to bypass your spell resistance, even when it’s not your turn. Once per day, as an immediate action when a spell that targets only you fails to penetrate your spell resistance, you can reflect that spell back on the original caster, as if you were under the effect of spell turning.

Magical or cursed texts can resist this effect or return incomplete results at the GM’s discretion.
3. Pure Magic Aura: You radiate an aura of the pure essence of magic. You can use this ability a number of rounds per day equal to 1 + 1 for every 4 Hit Dice you possess (maximum 6 rounds). These rounds don’t need to be consecutive, and you can activate and deactivate your aura as a free action. You and any allies within 20 feet of you increase your caster levels by 1d4. Roll this die when you activate this ability and use the same value for all who gain this benefit. The increase affects spell qualities (such as duration and number of targets) that rely on caster level, as well as caster level checks made to overcome spell resistance.
