Livanna (NE)

The Seductress

Livanna goddess of plagues and famine. It is said her face is a picture of beauty that rivals even that of Velona's. But hidden beneath her dark robes hides a body marred by disease and death. Livanna cares for the lives of these small diseases, who like her were cast away by her mother Feyja, supposedly unworthy of her divine attention.

Those who serve Livanna are part of Messara's religion. They to serve a to bring about a world of darkness, a world where only the purest form of life may survive.

Relations:

-Livanna has long sought the sole attention of her mother Feyja. In her bid for attention she has long rebelled against her, claiming Feyja neglects the parts of nature she finds distasteful. She cares and cultivates fungus, spores, bacteria, and all plants and animals that decay and destroy, which frustrates Feyja greatly

-Messara often acts as a replacement mother who gives her the attention she desperately craves.

-She may be the only god who is actually friends with Zachkaz.

Scripture: Rot & Ruin

A book best described in two parts. Part one of the scripture idolizes the nature of disease as the ideal life of the planet. Part two is an alchemical cookbook of poisons and diseases.

Heralds:

Followers of Livanna often believe her guidance can be received through visions after taking certain hallucinogenic substances. The most famous of these is the mushroom known as Livanna's kiss; which while very difficult to cultivate, is highly valued.

Curse/Blessings:

Signs of Livanna's blessing include

-mushrooms sprouting at the base of the tree closest to your home

-Rat found outside the home (give some food if able)

-A clear head the night after drinking

Livanna will show simple displeasure trough a nosebleed, or a rat problem in the house

a more serious crime might be to fall ill to food poisoning or nausea

But if she is truly angered she has been know to curse one with infections and boils that claim their skin, the disease will kill them over the course of the year, while they watch their family members fall to the same sickness far earlier.

Evangelist

1: Toxic

Ray of sickening 3/day

Pernicious poison 2/day

Nauseating trail 1/day

2: Nauseating Strike: You know how to use others’ capacity for revulsion as a weapon against them. Three times per day, you can make a nauseating strike against an opponent through your weapon, causing the target to feel the effects of a sickening disease. You must declare your use of this ability before you roll your attack, and if your attack misses, the strike is wasted. On a hit, your target must succeed at a Fortitude save (DC = 10 + 1/2 your Hit Dice) or be nauseated for 1d4 rounds, in addition to the normal weapon damage.

3: Debilitating Blight: Once per day, you can cast greater contagion as a spell-like ability, infecting the target with a virulent and debilitating disease that takes effect immediately; the DC to resist this disease is 4 higher than normal. In addition to the effects of the disease, the subject is debilitated with wracking coughs and painful, bursting pustules. The incessant sickness imposes a –2 penalty on the target’s attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability modifiers for a number of rounds equal to your Hit Dice.

Exalted

1: Plague Bringer

Ray of Sickening 3/day

Pox Pustules 2/day

Contagion 1/day

2: Masterful Poisoner: You know the best techniques for storing and applying poisons. Your knowledge of the proper methods of handling and applying poisons grants them additional potency. The saving throw DC of any poison you use or poison spell effect increases by 2. This effect applies only to poisons you administer directly, including applying the poison to a weapon you use. Giving the weapon to another person reduces the poison’s efficacy back to normal, as the weapon’s new owner does not have your skill at storing and using the poisoned item.

3: Toxic Immunity: You develop your body's immune system to near perfection such that you become almost untouchable by the ravages of toxins and disease. You gain a +4 profane bonus on saving throws against poison, and spells and effects that cause ability damage, ability drain, or negative levels. You also become immune to non magical diseases.

Sentinel

1: Viral Practitioner

Diagnose Disease 3/day

Sickening Entanglement 2/day

Eruptive Pustules 1/day

2: Parasitic Link: Once per day with a successful touch attack, you can infest a living creature with tiny, gnawing, parasitic worms unless the target succeeds at a Fortitude save (DC = 10 + half your Hit Dice + your Constitution modifier). These parasites retain an unholy link to you, draining the target creature’s energy and transferring it to you. This infestation persists for 10 rounds, during which you act as if under the effects of a haste spell and the infested victim is staggered. As a swift action, you can quicken the parasitic infestation—this reduces the remaining duration by 1 round, but the target takes 1d3 points of Charisma damage as the parasites feed at an accelerated rate. You can maintain a parasitic link with only one creature at a time. These parasites count as a disease effect.

3: Horrible Blow: Once per day, you can inflict a debilitating disease upon your target through your weapon. You must declare your use of this ability before you roll your attack. On a hit, the target is affected as if the subject of horrid wilting cast by a wizard of a level equal to your Hit Dice (maximum CL 20th), as well as normal weapon damage. If you miss with your attack, the use of this ability is wasted.
