Zol (LN)The Fallen God
Zol is the eldest of the three brothers of creation, and said to have been the strongest. He was the king of the Gods, and it was by his vision that the universe was created. He fell in love with Feyja, and went on to father many children with her. Taking under his personal care he raised Dicitus and Polis, tending to each of their education. He helped create magical beasts including Dragons.
He was a respected and beloved leader. Until the day of his fall. While the specifics around Zol's death have been argued, there are two primary stories.
The first is that Zol, wished to impart upon the world of man, a modicum of the god power, what we call magic. Power to bend reality to one's will. In this version of the story Zol found the means to grant all intelligent creatures magic, but it called for self sacrifice. Zol made the choice to die and grant the intelligent races this final gift.
In the second version of the story. Zol's obsession with Dragons and other creatures having magic began to consume him. He began to lack in his duties, instead creating stranger monstrosities with his wife Feyja (it is during this time that Sithrak is born). Balmoth, Zol's younger brother, decides to confront Zol regarding his failings, attempting to talk sense into him. The two get into a fight, one in which Balmoth is the victor. Zol's slain body is thrown from the heavens by Balmoth, and as Zol's body breaks away, his essence is scattered among the likes of mankind.
In either case, Zol has passed away, his religion never to be. It was confirmed by Oros himself. One cannot gain divine powers from praying to Zol. His last gifts have been granted. Polis, once his Demigod has been given his position on the God council. His apprentice Dicitus remains within Zol's great Library. Attending to, the last tasks Zol gave him. Archiving all written knowledge of mankind.
Additional Notes:
-Since Zol is dead and cannot grant favor, he is not a valid Deity for the purposes of gaining divine spells for clerics or Paladins.
-There is no known holy scripture of Zol.
It is believed that if any were to exist it would be hidden in the Lost Library with Dicitus
